I was born and raised in a small town called Pleasantville, NY that is about 35 minutes from NYC. I attended Syracuse University where I graduated in 2000 with a BFA from the School of Visual and Performing Arts. After graduating I worked as an assistant to director Hype Williams, and in 2002 I moved to Los Angeles to continue working for him both off and on set. While doing production assistant work I soon realized that I was not happy to go on runs all day and instead wanted to be on set. I saw how the AD department operated and what they were doing, and I quickly decided that was the direction I wanted to go in. I was lucky enough to work under a great AD named Michael Kahn and his existing team on many high profile music videos for Hype and other top directors. I continued to work for Michael and other AD's as a 2nd and 2nd 2nd and was trusted to deal directly with talent and the key individuals on some of the largest music videos being shot at the time.
During this period I had also been working on some small projects of my own. One day I was given the opportunity to show my work to the owner of a post production company. He liked what he saw and he encouraged me to pursue editorial as a career. Starting in 2004 I began freelancing at some of the largest trailer and post houses in Los Angeles. I have worked for Imaginary Forces, The Cimarron Group, Crew Creative, BPG, Seismic and Gas Station Zebra among others. Through these companies and my own clients I have worked on projects for Warner Bros., NBC.com, Lionsgate, Parallel Media, New Line Cinema, Roadside Attractions, Freestyle Releasing, After Dark Films, Universal, and IFC.
I take pride in my work and endeavor to produce high-end content for my clients and the audience. I hope you will allow me to be a part of your next project.
